Worship Training Day Announced!

Cambridge & District YFC will be working with EngageWorship.org to bring you an exciting training event this spring! Bringing together young musicians from all over Cambridge, Engage the event will take place on Saturday 21st March at St Barnabas Church. The programme will feature specialist instrument workshops, input and inspiration for worship leaders, and of course lots and lots of top notch music! Sam and Sara Hargreaves head up EngageWorship.org, working at a local and national level to encourage young people to explore culturally relevant ways to express praise to God. We're really excited by this new partnership and look forward to seeing young people in Cambridge flourishing in their God given gifts!

Sundays at Starbucks

Exploration Station continues to be a focal point of our activities with almost 100 young people coming every week to Starbucks on the Cambridge Retail Park. Recent weeks have seen sessions on 'How can I make the most of my life?' and 'How can I be sure of my faith' with an irresistable atmosphere filling the venue as young people get the chance to explore the Christian faith. Our recent Away Day brought 85 young people together for a programme of teaching on the Holy Spirit, and 2 young people made commitments to follow Jesus for the first time. This is such an exciting project to be involved in, we're humbled every week as we see the interest and enthusiasm of young people. We have 3 sunday sessions to go - pray for us!

A Massive Thanks!

Our Annual Celebration took place on Saturday 15th November at Great Shelford Free Church. On a memorable night where worship was led by Decent Reason the youth band from All Saints Church Milton, our new team was offocially commissioned for the year ahead. This year's yfcone team comprising Mark Watson and Kyle Armstrong, along with our faithful volunteers, Katie Willingham and Dan Jacobs were introduced to our supporters for the first time. What a fantastic team we have! A huge thanks to everyone who came along to encourage us on the night - your commitment means more than you could imagine!

Baby Joy!

It's a Girl! Hannah and Jim are proud to announce the arrival of their beautiful daughter, Esther Joy Overton. She was born in Addenbrookes Hospital on Sunday 9th November 2008 at 9.00am weighing 6lb 13oz. With her dad's hair and her mum's eyelashes she's already given us lots of entertainment between the sleepless nights. Hopefully you'll get the chance to meet her at a YFC event very soon!
